Hello everyone, and welcome to my new website. It’s sort of cool that I get to use my own name.
This is a big change for me. I’m an old dog (74 in May) learning new tricks, but my son Teddy will get me there. He’s that kid in your family who commands the Internet. He’s my site administrator, and he’s already warned me I may need to upgrade soon.
For visitors who don’t know, I’ve been a news and sports writer for 47 years in South Central Washington with several publications. I will be doing much the same for the site. The big change I see coming is magazine length stories on people.
There will likely be some old things I’ve written on the site as I develop new material. I’ll try to make the selections enjoyable. With Teddy’s help and my budding writer daughter Jenny’s efforts, we’ll bring you the Yakima Valley our way.
As you can tell by my picture on this page, I’m rarely in front of the camera. This is the last decent photo of me, taken a few years ago. Blitz dragged me into it.
Please tell your friends — why not your enemies, too — where to find me. There will be a lot of fun and some seriousness. Thanks for checking out Tedescobar.com.
